Continents are large, seperate islands. There are 7 continents in Flyff, most of which have a main city in them. Each continent is fairly diverse. One cannot go from one continent to another on foot, however flying on a or teleporting using a is required to do so. The 7 continents are Flaris, Saint Morning, Darkon, Bahara Dessert + Kaillun Grassland + Valley Of the Risen + Shaduwar, and the premium continents of Azria, Coral Island and Traseia .
Flaris is the continent beginners will start out on, and contains masquerpets levels 1 - 20, not including those found in dungeons, or giant versions of creatures. All four job change quests take place there, Assist, Mercenary, Magician and Acrobat.
Saint Morning contains masqerpets with levels higher than Flaris.
Darkon is divided into three parts, Darkon 1, 2, and 3.
Shaduwar, The Valley of the Risen, Kaillun Grassland and Bahara Dessert are the same continent called Roika, but four different parts. Some of the hardest non event masquerpets are found here, as well as the best players.
Here are the known Maps of FlyFF:
Duels are friendly battles between two players that can take place anywhere. A duel can be started by alt-clicking on any player that is over level 15 and within thirty levels of the challenger and selecting "duel" from the window. If the other player accepts, a three second countdown will began. During this time some skills can be , or used before the duel has even started. Due to this glitch, some knights are able to win duels before they have started. Whoever wins the duel will gain PvP Points. Whoever loses the duel will lose PvP Points, but significantly less than the number gained by the winner. After a certain number of points, a player will receive a name in brackets ([ ]) depending on the number of points and their first .
A Guild is a collection of people that form a union and compete in events.
Guilds share many of the qualities of , such as a private chat channel, a set leader with greater power then their members, the ability for the guild to level-up and unlock new functionality, and the ability to invite or boot members at will, but Guilds can do so much more that the comparison is almost unfair. There are five ranks - Master (1), Kingpin (5), Captain (10), Supporter (20), and Rookie (32). Guilds can duel with each other and trade amongst their own members. When you join a guild the name of the guild will appear above your character's name.

Giants are types of a certain kind of that has much higher and attack than a normal masquerpet of its type. However, they are known for dropping a large number of items such as , armor, and .
Giants are known to have an element matching the normal version of the monster they're modeled after, except in some cases when all the normal monsters are the same element, then they are another element. They are also known to have special abilities from time to time like increase damage when near death or healing when near death.
Drops are that fall at the feet of once you defeat them. They usually take the form of , , or .
The frequency of items dropping usually decreases as the difference between the monsters level and the player's level increase.
Collecting Areas are where you can use a Collector to Collect Pieces and Wheels. Collecting Areas can be found in South Flaris, South-East Saint Morning, and North Darkon.
The Collecting Manager Collins is right next to each of them.

Flying Combat is combat while you are flying. You can fly on either a broom, or a flying board. Flying combat is a bit harder from ground combat, as the only weapon that is ranged is a wand. Only Magicians and Psykeepers and elementors (as elementors can still equip wands) can use wands and no skills may be used. In Melee combat you have to keep clicking your opponent untill he dies.
Flaris is the continent where start. The strongest that normally appear on this continent are , which range from level 19 to 23. The town on this continent is named . This town has small houses and vendors selling low-level items. It is often insufficient for a player after their first change, after which most players move on to . The master and the master are located in Flarine, as well as Martyinc and Gergantes.
Their National Motto is "To new beginnings", their National Anthem is "Ode to to the Sea".
Before the humans, or even the Dwarpets came to Flaris, there was another ethnic known as the Caoin 's, which in the Madrigalian language meant to weep, This is where the River of Weeping came to be. The Caoin's were a spiritual kind of people, they believed that everything from the rocks, to the trees, to the sky had it's own spirit and should be treated with dignity and respect. Proof of their existence can be found within Mars Mines, before being a mine for clay goods, they were a sort of shelter from the monsters that resided outside. The only sort of monster that ever existed within the mines beforehand was the . She was believed to be some sort of Demonic Goddess, and could be found in the deepest area of the cavern. In front of her chamber they carved her likeness in stone and presented it as a gift in hopes to keep her content. To ensure peace among the people from her wrath, they also gave her live sacrifices to keep her calm. This lasted for a great number of years, until the Caoin's were virtually wiped out by the Serus Uriel's offspring. Today, they serve as guardians. There are only six survivors left of that lost civilization here in Madrigal. Not sure who they are? Think carefully and you just might. Three guard the ancient monsters that were locked away by their ancestors eons ago, to make certain that they never escape. One guards the menace Clockworks. One can be found in the depths of Ivillis Dungeon guarding Ivillis Leanes and the last his been recently seen in the bowels of Volkane Dungeon guarding an unknown menace. Long after the Caoin's were wiped off Madrigal, Dwarpets and humans alike came to live in Flaris, oblivious of it's ancient history. A small colony known as Flarine was built way south, where friendly monsters known as resided.
Flarine still maintained it's village like appearance for many years. It came to be known as the the City of New Beginnings after it's popular motto "To New Beginnings" when people from all over world began appearing in search of a simple place to test their skills as well as learn them. The ancient underground chambers that were left behind by the Caoin's became a perfect place for large war battles among warriors. This became known as the Guild Siege, a place where novices and an professionals come together as one. Flaris will be the first continent that you will be able to visit in Madrigal. It's rural landscape is perfect for folks seeking training for adventure. It is located in the center of the map and borders Saint Morning and Darkon.

Darken is the main town of Darkon. You can come here by either flying or using a of Darkon.
At level 60 you can change to your second job. The second job change quests are located in Darken. Below is a list of the Job change masters.
Darkon is by far the largest continent in . It houses almost all endgame content.
There National Motto is "Destiny decides your fate" and there National Anthem is "Ode to the Guardians" .
Not long ago, the land of Darkon was once covered in complete wilderness. The area that is currently known as Darkon 1 had grassy plains, rivers and pine tree forests growing upon it's surface. It wasn't until the first explorers from Flaris arrived that things actually began to change.
Upon discovering that these lands were rich in rare minerals and gems, an expedition took place to create mines to collect all of this material. Men and women from and came in search of jobs to help build the artificial mines. Being an awfully hard job however for these past decades, technology had advanced enough to create machines to aid in the process.
for digging, CraneMachinery for breaking, for picking up rocks, and for obvious reasons. The industrialization destroyed the once beautiful nature that surrounded the area with all it's pollution, and it was evident that the workers would eventually be in need of a work headquarters for recreation to avoid the long trip back to Flarine by airship.
Thus Darken city was built.
The mining continued, and eventually they landed on a new area after blowing up a wall with dynamite. One of the only records of an ancient civilization in Darkon besides the Guardian Palace, Clockwork's Cage. The Guardian, Eshylop that stood in front of the alter warped those workers into an ancient dome, where a monster was laid to rest eons ago. Curiosity killed the cat as they say, it certainly killed these workers. For upon placing their hand on Clockwork's mighty face, it was awakened from it's long slumber.
With this, Clockwork sent out intense signals which were caught in all the machinery, causing them to go berserk and turn against the humans. The building ceased. For better or for worse? Possibly for the better, because at least today we are still able to experience the breathtaking nature of Darkon 3 which once covered the land but a century ago.
Not many people inhabit Darkon today for the danger is too great. Although, that danger is precisely what attracts young adventurers to this land.
Like the great Eight Heroes before them, they travel throughout Darkon to reach their destines that lie within the deepest part of Darkon.
Darkon is divided into three sections, and appears to be two continents that have somehow fused, due to the prominent seam. In general, the terrain in Darkon is uneven, with large mountains and huge valleys. An oddity of it is the high number of trees growing pretty much everywhere they can.
There is some confusion over which section is Darkon1 and which is Darkon2, since they share a map entry. To make matters worse, both the outdoor and the cave area are marked "Darkon2". However, it is reasonable to assume that based on these markings, everything from Darkon Town to the Sylica spawn is "Darkon1". This fits the general theme of having one merchant area per section of the world.

Azria is a premium continent where level 72 start. The strongest for the Second Job is here, which range from level 73 to 115. There is no town/city here but there was a kingdom here but its was destroyed by . You need a premium ticket named Azria Ticket to get in to Azria.
Once upon a time, before the breaking of the world, there was a kingdom that was said to have been blessed by the Five Gods themselves. Azria was its name, and it was ruled by a just and righteous king and his son, the prince. Together they used their ardent love for knowledge to inspire their people and usher in a period of prosperity never before seen in the world.
Thus it was that Azria became so famous that it drew the other nations' envy. Foreign warships set their course for the continent and began to attack. However, so advanced were the Azrians that no weapon could pierce their armors or take down their flying chariots. All the efforts of neighboring countries and tribes in conquering the great kingdom proved futile in the face of the superior Azrian technology. Indeed, Azria was the brightest jewel amongst all the known lands.
However, rumor of these feats reached Shade's ears. The Mistress of Shadow and Desire wanted to see for herself if the accounts were true, and so one day she disguised as a mortal and mingled with the Azrians. Shade was amazed by the accuracy of the tales. The Azrian civilization was truly advanced, several hundred years advanced, and the people desired more progress and more fame, and a much larger territory. Shade knew that must not continue. No mortal race should be allowed to be of almost equal standing with the gods. Hence, the judgment of Azria.
Fire ravaged the entire continent. Heavy rains of acid came down from the heavens and destroyed everything it touched, even the palace. Everyone perished in the catastrophe, including the king and the prince. No one survived. In one night all the glory that was once Azria was reduced to ruin, and it remained as thus for many, many years.
Time flowed onward and Azria was forgotten; lost in the annals of history, buried in the sands of time. For thousands of years it seemed no one would ever know the tale of the great kingdom, until one day a merchant ship bound for Darkon had the fortune of getting caught in a storm and crashing upon the continent. There was only one survivor, an explorer, and he was astounded at the sight of the land. Although old and derelict, the surviving infrastructure was unmistakably advance in nature, and the relics hinted at technology that far outmatched anything he had ever seen at the time.
A new land has been discovered in the world of Madrigal. Azria the great land of ice.
