Items

An Item is anything that can be held within the inventory. There are several categories of item, including Equipment, food, pets, and Cash Shop items.

Fun Facts[]

When your Weapon is Elemented, it glows a bit. But when your inside a Dungeon, it glows a whole lot more.

Element your Weapon and go into the Mars/Mas/Mass Mine and have all new players goggle at your Weapon!

A weapon or shield clone is a weapon or shield that looks exactly like what it's based off of, but with a little more offensive/defensive strength. Items like green and brown weapons have no clones, because they are already quite powerful.

Dual Wielding is the signature characteristic of the Blade s. It is the ability to hold a one-handed weapon, either a sword or an axe, in each hand. The weapon in the right hand is referred to as the main-hand weapon, while the weapon in the left hand is referred to as the off-hand weapon. The Blade receives 100% of the attack power from the main-hand weapon but only 70% of the attack power from the off-hand weapon. This isn't a skill, but a passive ability of the Blade class (such as the Jester's quadruple critical hit rate).

Attack Pattern[]

While dual wielding, Blades have a characteristic attack pattern. The Blade will begin with a hit from only the main-hand, followed by a hit using both the main-hand and off-hand weapons, and then repeat. Although this cycle is simply an ABAB pattern, the attack animation is several cycles long.

Off-hand and Skills[]

The off-hand weapon's attack power does not contribute to skills. However, any piercings or awakenings on the weapon will still be figured into damage. Only the main-hand weapon influences the Blade's ability to use the Mercenary self-buffs Smite Axe, Axe Mastery, Blazing Sword, and Sword Mastery.

Equipment consists of anything which can be used by a character to further enhance their aesthetics or combat power -- sometimes both!

Flyff Guild Siege by MAFIA[]

There are two forms of guild-oriented wars in the game. One of them is the Guild Siege. Guild Siege is a server-wide event that occurs every Saturday at 12:00PM PST. To determine which guilds will have a chance to prove their prowess, a bidding system is utilized. Each guild places a bid to be in the top 8. The guilds eligible in the top 8 will be able to fight amongst themselves. The winner of the Guild Siege obtains fame and fortune: each member of the top three winning guilds will receive Red Chips; a sort of currency that is used to purchase Level 120 Green sets. The winning guild's members will also have a special crown icon to the left of their names. In addition to that, the MVP (Most Valuable Player); which is the sieger that scores the most points, will have a special medal icon appended to their name.

There are certain qualifications for a guild to be able to participate in the Saturday Guild Siege. Be sure these rules are abided by or your guild will not be eligible. Below is a guide on how to apply for the Saturday Guild Siege, including an explanation of the basic interface.

Guild Siege Basics[]

  • Guild Siege is held once a week on Saturday at 12:15 PM PST (UTC/GMT -8).
  • Only 8 Guilds will be allowed to participate.
  • Only 5 members from any guild will be allowed in the arena at one time.
  • Each player is allocated 6 lives.
  • Fighting style is team battle where anything goes.
  • The entering Guild has to be level 20.
  • There have to be 3 Guilds participating or the previous winning Guild wins by default.
  • Participating members have to be level 30+
  • Spectators have to be level 15+ and have to have a Job.
  • A guild's Guild Siege Team may consist of min. 2 members and max. 10 members.
  • Spectators are not able to talk to participants and vice versa.
  • Each guild must set a Defender and a Leader before the Team Line Up time is over.
  • Any Cash Shop item can be used with exception to: CS Boards, Teleport devices.

Guild Siege Requirements[]

  • Minimum guild level: 20
  • Minimum entrance bid: 100,000,000 Penya
  • Maximum number of participants per guild: 10
  • Minimum number of participating guilds: 3

Guild Time and Preparation[]

Activity NPC Time
Bid For Entry Frankie North Flarine Sunday 12:01AM - Saturday 12:00PM
Team Line Up Frankie North Flarine Saturday 12:00PM - 12:10PM

Prepare For Battle - Saturday 12:00PM - 12:15PM
Begin - Saturday 12:15PM - 12:45PM

The Guild Siege system follows a stringent time line. If siegers fail to be punctual, they will fail to make it to the Guild Siege.

Scoring System[]

During the Guild Siege, players will be awarded points for their kills. Different amounts of points are rewarded when certain prerequisites are met. These awarded points are called Grade Points. They are the total of Points given out for killing a person. The number may vary depending on the opponent's status. Grade Points will be added to the total guild score.

Bonus Name Grade Points Prerequisite
Basic Point +2 A basic bonus for killing an opponent.
Guild Master Bonus +1 Bonus awarded to players that are leading a Guild.
Ressurecting Bonus +1 Bonus awarded for killing an opponent while you are on your last life.
Defender Bonus +1 Bonus awarded to players who have killed a Defender.

Guild Siege Registration[]

To apply for the Guild Siege, click [Guild Siege Manager] Frankie] who is at Flaris|North Flarine and select Apply You should see a new window come up that says To Apply For The Guild War.

  • The Total Number of Applicants - This signifies how much penya has been donated by every guild that is participating.
  • The Current Applicant - This signifies how much you are bidding. Enter any amount of your choice (a minimum bid of 100,000,000 penya is required).
  • Apply - This will submit your bid.

Guild Bidding[]

Before placing a bid amount, check the status window to see the guilds signed up and the highest bid. However, there is no point in overbidding, because you only need to be in the top 8 to be eligible. Checking the list regularly is a good habit, as it helps keep track of whether or not your guild is in the eligible top 8. The refresh button shows any new changes made in the list of guilds eligible.

  • The Time Left - Time left before bidding ends.
  • The Total Number of Applicants - This signifies how much penya has been donated by every guild that is participating.
  • Apply - Make another bid to add to your current bid.
  • Refresh - This will refresh the list with new up-to-date info.

Guild Siege Lineup[]

Once a guild qualifies for the Guild Siege, the lineup can be created. Each guild is allowed a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 10 participants. Every member that is placed in the lineup must be in Server 1 of the cluster to be officially added by the system.

The lineup window can be accessed by clicking the [Guild Siege Manager] Frankie NPC and then clicking Entry. Below is an example of the lineup window.

  1. Members that are currently online.
  2. Members that are selected to be in the lineup.
  3. Sets your lineup.
  4. Resets your lineup.
  5. Chooses the Defender. A Defender is a player selected in every participating guild that has a crucial role. If a Defender is killed by an opposing guild, the player gains +1 extra points. A D will appear next to the Defender's name in the lineup window when assigned. The Defender's guild name will also be in purple during the Guild Siege.
  6. Closes the window.
  7. Moves players to and fro from the two lists.
  8. Moves players vertically in the lineup.

After the lineup is finalized, players can disconnect from Server 1 and switch. They will not be booted from the lineup. However, if any changes are made to the lineup whilst they are not in Server 1, they will then be kicked off and have to be re-added again.

Line-Up[]

Upon finishing the lineup, a list of participating members will appear on the top left of the screen.

  1. Guild name.
  2. The order in which players will enter the siege arena.
  3. Guild members' names.
  4. The guild Defender.
  5. Number of lives of each player.
  6. Players' health bar.

This Board is the fastest available in Flyff but is only available to GMs.

CharWindow

FP is the third bar down. It is light green.

FP, short for Fighting Points or Fatigue Points, is one of the three basic forms of energy a character has. Some skills cost a certain amount of FP to use, making it important for skill users to keep their FP as full as possible. FP can be restored with VitalDrinks.

Players have a maximum value for their FP. This value is a proportional STA. Some classes have a lower FP to STA ratio than others. A player's maximum FP be raised by buffs and awakened or statted equipment.

At level 20, any character may  fly for free such as a broom or board to fly around the world of Flyff. All require time to get onto and to accelerate to their maximum speed. Generally, the maximum speed is determined by the cost of the item, with the most expensive ones that can be bought with Penya reaching up to speeds of 218km/h. With Cash Shop items in the game, speeds of up to 276km/h can be reached, and GMs have a special board that can go 312 km/h. A character can dismount in midair and will fall until reaching the ground. Regardless of how high the drop may be, the character will receive no damage from the impact.

Flying Combat[]

Also, one can choose to engage in air combat with flying monsters. Whenever a player defeats a flying monster, they gain normal experience as well as "flying experience" which allows a player to level up their "flying level." Some exp is also given to the regular player level, just as they would level up their player level. As flying levels increase, the time of summoning a flying item decreases, and the time taken to reach maximum speed while flying also decreases. However the maximum speed of the board/broom stays the same.

Types of Flying Item[]

  • Brooms
  • Boards
  • Bikes
  • Clouds
  • Misc. others such as the Wooden Horse and the Sleigh.

In flyff; there are many types of consumable items that a user may find as a drop or purchase from an NPC store or even the FlyFF Store.

Food, Refreshers, Vita-drinks and Buff Items.

Food restores HP, the highest purchasable from an NPC is the popular Star-Candy, however it is possible to get better ones from Drops. Pills are also a form of 'food' however as they can be quite expensive, they are seperate items. These range in veriety from Grey to Gold and have varying healing values from that. Remantis Lacotte are only available from the FlyFF Cash Shop and could also be considered a 'buff item', however as they do not apply a buff, they are just food.

Refshers restore MP which makes these perfect for any class that wishes to cast spells such as Magicians or Assists, these can normally be found either as drops or from an NPC store.

Vita-Drinks are for restoring FP for characters such as Assists and Mercenaries and are purchasable from the NPC vendor and can be found as drops.

However, be warned that using any of the above items will consume it regardless of how much of the given stat the user has, this can lead to wastage.

Buff Items, however, are the exception to these rules.  These items are only purchasable from the Cash Shop Store and can be quite expensive to get in game, Refresher Holds, Activiations and Vita Drink Xs are all examples of this, however there are also consumable scrolls which increase EXP gain (Scroll of Amplification), Scrolls that negate the EXP loss on death, Scrolls that give parties extra range and extra points (Red and Green) or even a scroll that allows a guild to change its name.

Once invisible, the caster can run past enemies, and any enemy targeted to them will return to their starting position. In pvp, the opponent will lose their lock on the caster. While invisible, the caster is free to move, heal, attack, etc. However, in pvp, the opponent will be able to see the healing animation. The invisibility lasts until the caster dies, the buff wears out, or attacks. Fast Walker will not cause invisibility to wear off.

Cloaks[]

  • Normal guild cloaks (+1 Def)

Guild cloaks are items obtained through the guild, A guild must reach a certain level and have selected a name and a symbol. The guild symbol determines the Design on the guild cloak.

  • Dragon Cloak (+5 all stats)

A guild can also obtain the Dragon Cloak from winning the weekly guild sieges on Saturday.

  • School event cloak ( +100 HP )

School event cloak can be obtained trough the Gpotato shop

Other cloaks can be obtained through cloak boxes, although cloaks do not always drop from a cloak box.

Common items are items that can be bought from NPC characters. All common items have a blue name. Some rare items, such as the Stick of Roritoren, are rare but have a blue name. There are several rare shields, and they all have blue names. There are many weapons for each class, with the exception of Acrobats, that only drop from monsters and give some stat bonuses. They used to have brown names, and although they are hard to find, do not sell for much. Cash Shop items have blue names, but whether or not they fall into the "common" class is debatable.

A Card Piece is an item that you get while Collecting. If you collect 10 of one type of Card Piece, you can go to a Collecting Manager, and have him transform them into one Card. The card that you get in return varies on what Card Piece you give the Collecting Manager.
